Our Daily Drink – The King’s Treasury

Psalm 24:1, “The earth is Yahweh’s, and all its fullness,

The world and those who dwell therein.”

Proverbs 21:1, “The king’s heart is in the hand of Yahweh,

Like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes.”

Friends, from just these two verses, we can see that Yahweh owns the universe and all the people in it, even to the heart of the world’s rulers. Yeshua is King of kings, Lord of lords, the only true Master of the universe. He is above all, knows all, owns all, He is the supreme, sovereign Ruler of all. We owe obeisance and all allegiance to Him. He is our Mighty One, our God, we are His people, the sheep of His pasture.

I want to share with you what Yahweh, my King, recently showed me from His Word. But first, a bit more personal history. I’ve been involved to one degree or another in the tax freedom, or liberty movement, for over twenty years. Yeah for liberty, right? It is wonderful, especially in Yeshua. He is our Law of liberty. You want to be free indeed, He is the only One Who can make that happen for you. I didn’t stay in the U.S. Air Force beyond my initial four-year hitch, because I could foresee that I would not get along with the U.S. Government for an extended period of time. I had kind of a rebellious heart; do you know anyone with a rebellious heart? What was it that George Washington declared, “Government is not reason; it is not eloquence; it is force! Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.” You were right George, you’re a prophet, too. I’ve tried to stay away from the civil government in any way I can, even to avoiding taxes, but never evading taxes, that’s illegal. I used to teach and preach about tax avoidance and liberty stuff any chance I got, but about all that did was wear me out. It didn’t do much good either, since America has crawled into her very own self-sealing coffin anyway. Is it getting hard to breath in here or what? Anyway, I was reading the Book of Ezra with my sweet wife the other night attempting to learn a little more about the oblation offerings, and Yahweh just slapped me with a few verses and gave me revelation of His majesty and sovereignty.

Let’s dive into the living river of the waters of life again and see what Yahweh has to say today. Ezra, Nehemiah, Daniel, and most of the children of Judah were still in Babylon, at the end of the 70 years of captivity. In 459 BCE, Cyrus II, king of Persia, conquered Babylon without much of a fight from Belshazzar, who was drunk out of his mind. Daniel 5:30-31, “That very night Belshazzar, king of the Chaldeans, was slain. 31And Darius the Mede received the kingdom, being about sixty-two years old.” Cyrus II didn’t hang around Babylon, he continued to conquer for a year or two. But he came back to personally rule Babylon in 457 BCE. Well, guess what year that just happened to be? Yup, the 70th year of the Israelite captivity! It’s amazing what you can learn by building a 7,000-line timeline spreadsheet and watching human history unfold a line at a time. So that’s the setting of the beginning of Ezra’s Book.

Ezra 1:1-2, “Now in the first year of Cyrus (II) king of Persia (457 BCE was his official 1st year), that the word of Yahweh by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, Yahweh stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and also put it in writing, saying, 2Thus says Cyrus king of Persia:
All the kingdoms of the earth Yahweh Mighty One of heaven has given me. And He has commanded me to build Him a house (temple) at Jerusalem which is in Judah.” 457 BCE is the year when Cyrus II, the Great, made his decree (FIRST DECREE by a Persian king) that allowed the Jews to return to Judah and Jerusalem. Did you catch that? Just like Proverbs 21:1 says, Yahweh moved in the heart of Cyrus II and commanded him to build Yahweh’s second temple in Jerusalem. This took my breath away, but that’s not what slapped me out of my chair onto my face.

Soon after Zerubbabel and the priests get to Jerusalem, they build the altar of Yahweh on the Temple mount and begin the daily oblations again. That’s in Ezra chapter 3. Check out verse 6, “From the first day of the seventh month (Feast of Trumpets in 457 BCE, see Lev. 23) they began to offer burnt offerings to Yahweh, although the foundation of the temple of Yahweh had not been laid.” Notice the order of events, first the oblations, then build the temple. That’s important for what the Temple Mount Faithful group is about to do in Jerusalem in our day, before our very eyes! Get ready for the world to really come down on Israel! Pray for Israel, that they would repent, grow up, and get back to Yahweh’s plan for them. I understand that the Israeli police again prevented an offering from taking place on the Temple mount for Passover. Pray people, pray! Yeshua can’t come back until they get in line with His will. But keep watching Yahweh’s controlling hand in world events today, it’s how He sets the timing for His perfect will to be done, on His schedule, not ours. It’s awesome to watch Him move in human history upon the earth! More on that later. Back to the Book, notice that the revival begins in Jerusalem before Ezra even gets to town. Humbling, isn’t it?

In Ezra 3:3-10, we see the Israelites setting the foundation for the temple in the second month of their second year in Jerusalem, 456 BCE. So, while Ezra is back in Babylon scribing, and Daniel is hanging out with the lions in the lion’s den, Zerubbabel and the Israelite boys are building Yahweh’s temple in Jerusalem, all in a spirit of worship! While this building project is going on, the kings of Persia are out warring and getting killed and Yahweh is raising up and putting down kings and kingdoms. So by the time Haggai and Zechariah show up to prophesy, Darius I (Hystaspes), the Great, king of Persia, is in his second year in 441 BCE, see Haggai 1:1, and Zech. 1:1 for their date stamp. Time flies when you’re having fun building Yahweh’s temple in Jerusalem. So now we’re in Ezra 6 where we see a recap of the FIRST DECREE done by Cyrus II in 457 BCE. Look at verses 3b-4, “Let the house be rebuilt, the place where they offered sacrifices; and let the foundations of it be firmly laid, its height sixty cubits and its width sixty cubits, 4with three rows of heavy stones and one row of new timber. Let the expenses be paid from the king’s treasury.” I’ve been reading the Book for several decades now and I’ve never noticed that phrase before. Yahweh just let that verse slap back and forth across my face for a few minutes until it soaked into my thick skull that HE OWNS EVERYTHING! Folks, we’re not talking about a Jewish treasury in the temple or in Jerusalem, we’re talking about pagan raised taxes from pagans in the pagan country of the Medes and Persians (Iraq and Iran) being used by the pagan king’s decree, by Yahweh’s command to him, to build the Temple of Yahweh, for Yahweh’s glory. They also raised some of the tax money in Judea and Samaria, the land beyond the River Euphrates from Persia. Also, in Ezra 2:68-69 you see the Israelites giving into the treasury for the building project. Kind of a joint venture between Israel and surrounding pagan nations, sound familiar? Folks, this is the Temple in which Yeshua did His Bar Mitzvah in 9 CE at the age of 12 before the Sanhedrin! This is the Temple in which He taught the people and His disciples and rebuked the Pharisees! This is the Temple destroyed by the Assyrian-conscripted Roman legions in 70 CE. This Temple brought glory to Yahweh and Yeshua and was built primarily by the federal tax dollars of the Kingdom of Persia!!! Talk about a government grant program. Needless to say, I have been repenting from a lot of stupid theology for the last couple weeks. Yahweh is one, one faith, one baptism, one treasury. Ok, I’m starting to get it.

Darius I (Hystaspes) made his own decree (the SECOND DECREE from a Persian king) in 441 BCE, as seen in Ezra 6:8-10, “Moreover I issue a decree as to what you shall do for the elders of these Jews, for the building of this house of Yahweh: Let the cost be paid at the king’s expense from taxes on the region beyond the River; this is to be given immediately to these men, so that they are not hindered. 9And whatever they need—young bulls, rams, and lambs for the burnt offerings of the Mighty One of heaven, wheat, salt, wine, and oil, according to the request of the priests who are in Jerusalem—let it be given them day by day without fail, 10that they may offer sacrifices of sweet aroma (oblations) to the Mighty One of heaven, and pray for the life of the king and his sons.” Good grief, pagan kings understood the sovereignty of Yahweh better than I did. Humbling, very humbling. More repentance. Eat more carpet.

We see in Ezra 6:15 that the temple was completed in 436 BCE as commanded by Cyrus II, Darius I (Hystaspes, Artaxerxes, Ahasuerus), kings of Persia, “Now the temple was finished on the third day of the month of Adar, which was in the sixth year of the reign of King Darius (Hystaspes).” The Temple was finished in the twelfth month, just before the new year, just in time to get ready for Passover. Great timing Yahweh! And all of it was done in a spirit of worship, in the face of much controversy from their adversaries. Mostly built with federal government money. These guys were in revival! Check out verses 16-17, “Then the children of Israel, the priests and the Levites and the rest of the descendants of the captivity, celebrated the dedication of this house of Yahweh with joy. 17And they offered sacrifices at the dedication of this house of Yahweh, one hundred bulls, two hundred rams, four hundred lambs, and as a sin offering for all Israel twelve male goats, according to the number of the tribes of Israel.” Why did they have to dedicate the Temple? Because it was built with defiled money, silver and gold, from a pagan government. Also, the Temple articles that were taken to Babylon were defiled by pagans and had to be cleansed for ceremonial use. Pray for our brothers and sisters in Israel, that they will get it through their thick skulls and into their dull hearts. Some, like the Temple Mount Faithful group, do get it, but most in Israel still don’t get it. They are being opposed by the pagan terrorists as well as by their own pagan secular civil government! Sound familiar? If I knew how to email the Knesset, I’d let them know how I feel about this. Anybody out there know some Israeli Knesset email addresses? We need to encourage the modern Israelites to get on with Yahweh. The time of the end is upon us, they need to step up and play their part.

Notice that this Jewish revival and building project all happened before Ezra showed up in the seventh year of King Artaxerxes (Darius Hystaspes) in 436 BCE, as a result of the THIRD DECREE of a Persian king, in Ezra 7:12-26, “Artaxerxes (Darius Hystaspes), king of kings, To Ezra the priest, a scribe of the Law of the Mighty One of heaven:

Perfect peace, and so forth.

13 I issue a decree that all those of the people of Israel and the priests and Levites in my realm, who volunteer to go up to Jerusalem, may go with you. 14And whereas you are being sent by the king and his seven counselors to inquire concerning Judah and Jerusalem, with regard to the Law of your Mighty One which is in your hand; 15and whereas you are to carry the silver and gold which the king and his counselors have freely offered to the Mighty One of Israel, whose dwelling is in Jerusalem; 16and whereas all the silver and gold that you may find in all the province of Babylon, along with the freewill offering of the people and the priests, are to be freely offered for the house of their Mighty One in Jerusalem—17now therefore, be careful to buy with this money bulls, rams, and lambs, with their grain offerings and their drink offerings, and offer them on the altar of the house of your Mighty One in Jerusalem.

18 And whatever seems good to you and your brethren to do with the rest of the silver and the gold, do it according to the will of your Mighty One. 19Also the articles that are given to you for the service of the house of your Mighty One, deliver in full before the Mighty One of Jerusalem. 20And whatever more may be needed for the house of your Mighty One, which you may have occasion to provide, pay for it from the king’s treasury.

21 And I, even I, Artaxerxes (Dairus Hsytaspes) the king, issue a decree to all the treasurers who are in the region beyond the River, that whatever Ezra the priest, the scribe of the Law of the Mighty One of heaven, may require of you, let it be done diligently, 22up to one hundred talents of silver, one hundred kors of wheat, one hundred baths of wine, one hundred baths of oil, and salt without prescribed limit. 23Whatever is commanded by the Mighty One of heaven, let it diligently be done for the house of the Mighty One of heaven. For why should there be wrath against the realm of the king and his sons?

24Also we inform you that it shall not be lawful to impose tax, tribute, or custom on any of the priests, Levites, singers, gatekeepers, Nethinim, or servants of this house of Yahweh. 25And you, Ezra, according to your God-given wisdom, set magistrates and judges who may judge all the people who are in the region beyond the River, all such as know the laws of your Mighty One; and teach those who do not know them. 26Whoever will not observe the law of your Mighty One and the law of the king, let judgment be executed speedily on him, whether it be death, or banishment, or confiscation of goods, or imprisonment.” Slap, slap slap, slap slap slap. More humbling, more repentance. Did you know that repentance is a key element of grace? No repentance, no salvation, know repentance, know salvation.

FYI, the story of Esther occurs between the building of the Temple and Ezra’s arrival in Jerusalem, per Esther 2:16, “So Esther was taken to King Ahasuerus (Darius Hystaspes), into his royal palace, in the tenth month, which is the month of Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign (436 BCE).”

Also, for your edification, the decree by Cyrus II (the Great) in 457 BCE (FIRST DECREE by a Persian king), is the decree from which we count the first 69 Weeks of Daniel’s 70 weeks, stated in Daniel’s vision from 2 years earlier around 459 BCE, “Know therefore and understand, That from the going forth of the command To restore and build Jerusalem (King Cyrus II’s decree in 457 BCE) Until Messiah the Prince, There shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; The street shall be built again, and the wall (Nehemiah’s thing, another great story, wall built in 423 BCE, twentieth year of Artaxerxes (Darius Hystaspes), FOURTH DECREE by a Persian king.), Even in troublesome times.

26 “And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off (30 CE, exactly 3 ½ years into Daniel’s 70th week, hmmmm. Ponder, meditate), but not for Himself (uh, for us sinners, you and me); And the people of the prince who is to come

Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end of it shall be with a flood, And till the end of the war desolations are determined.

27 Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week;

But in the middle of the week He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, Even until the consummation, which is determined, Is poured out on the desolate.”

Notice that in verse 26 the vision switches from talking about Messiah and His work to talking about Anti-messiah and his work. In verse 27, we see that Daniel’s 70-week vision will have a dual fulfillment, one in the 1st century fulfilling the Covenant, one in the 21st century, breaking a devilish covenant. Are you ready for what’s coming? Relax, now we know Who owns and controls everything.

Spreadsheets are pretty handy, I’ve counted out Daniel’s 62 weeks and 7 weeks on my timeline of human history, and it comes right to the beginning of Yeshua’s ministry in 26 CE. And as you saw the note above, Messiah was cut off right in the middle of the 70th week. Pretty cool, huh? You can ask for my timeline spreadsheet also, it’s also free. There was a revival in Media-Persia among the Israelites and the kings of Persia back in Daniel, Esther, Ezra, and Nehemiah’s day. There will be another revival in Mede (Iraq) soon, but you may not want to believe who’s revival it will be this time. That’s another article for another time at the end. Stay tuned . . . and pray . . . and repent . . . and watch . . . and pray.

Enjoy the Feast of Living Bread,

Gene Benjamin II

Ps. Remember to brush your teeth and smile, the beast is watching you.

Our Daily Drink – 7-22-10

Our Scripture drink today is found in Psalm 86, “Bow down Your ear, O Yahweh, hear me; for I am poor and needy. 2Preserve my life, for I am holy; you are my Mighty One; save Your servant who trusts in You!” A good prayer starts with a truthful confession, we are all poor and needy before our Maker. David makes an honest assessment of himself before Yahweh. But notice he also says he is holy. Saints, we are set apart, holy, unto Yahweh, for His purposes, for His service.

3Be merciful to me, O Yahweh, for I cry to You all day long. 4Rejoice the soul of Your servant, for to You, O Yahweh, I lift up my soul. 5For You, Yahweh, are good, and ready to forgive, and abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You. 6Give ear, O Yahweh, to my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications. 7In the day of my trouble I will call upon You, for You will answer me.” We all need Yahweh’s mercy and joy flooding our soul. We must always acknowledge Yahweh’s goodness. He always wants us to recognize that it is He Who is on the throne, not us. He is our supply, our Great Provider. When we’re in trouble, He wants to hear from us. Even when we’re not in trouble, He wants to hear our voice crying unto him. We are His children, He is our Almighty Father. David always trusted Yahweh to answer his prayer; we need to trust our Heavenly Father like that. Always expecting an answer in faith. Yahweh can work with expectant faith.

8Among the gods there is none like You, O Yahweh; nor are there any works like Your works. 9All nations whom You have made shall come and worship before You, O Yahweh, and shall glorify Your name. 10For You are great, and do wondrous things; you alone are Yahweh.” Yahweh loves to be exalted and praised. Make it a habit in your prayer and life of worship. We were created to worship Him.

11Teach me Your way, O Yahweh; I will walk in Your truth; unite my heart to fear Your name. 12I will praise You, O Yahweh my Mighty One, with all my heart, and I will glorify Your name forevermore. 13For great is Your mercy toward me, and You have delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol.” Isn’t David great? He always had a teachable spirit. He always wanted to know Yahweh more intimately, a better and better love relationship every day. Those who have walked with Yahweh for a few years, can you even count how many times and ways He has delivered you out of trouble? He is our great deliverer, and soon will be coming to bring the final great deliverance of the Church into glory. We look forward to that Day, even though it may be a dark day for the lost, it is the day of final victory for the people of Yahweh. The Kingdom of Yahweh is being prepared to be given to the saints of the Most High King.

14O Yahweh, the proud have risen against me, and a mob of violent men have sought my life, and have not set You before them. 15But You, O Yahweh, are a Mighty One full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth. 16Oh, turn to me, and have mercy on me! Give Your strength to Your servant, and save the son of Your maidservant.” David was in many situations where he needed Yahweh to save him from other men. Humans don’t seem to like Yahweh’s people, so sometimes we need more than just our souls saved, we need our backs covered, we need our physical lives protected from danger. He delivers and saves.

17Show me a sign for good, that those who hate me may see it and be ashamed, because You, Yahweh, have helped me and comforted me.” Yesterday, I had to make a 250 mile roundtrip to a doctor for my wife. I had only about ¾ of the gas in the truck that we needed to get all the way back home. Great. We made it back to Colorado Springs and stopped to ask some people if they could lend us some gas money. We couldn’t get ahold of anyone. Yeshua told us to go on to Canon City. We did. According to my gas gauge, I only used about one gallon of gas to get from the Springs to Canon City. That was a miracle in itself in my gas guzzler. He prompted us to stop at our regular gas station, so we did. I asked the clerk if she could advance me some gas so I could get home, she said she could not. I thanked her anyway. Yeshua prompted me to just put my debit card into the gas pump. I had only a few cents in my bank account, and no overdraft protection, so my card should have been rejected. It was NOT rejected. I pumped a few gallons into the truck and we made it home, with enough gas left to get back out to the gas station again when we go to town. Thank you Yeshua!! That was a pretty cool sign that Yahweh loves us and can take care of us no matter what!! Bless His holy name forevermore!

John 4:13a, 14, “Jesus answered and said to her, “ . . . 14whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.””

Our Daily Drink – 7-19-10 – A Drop in the Bucket

Howdy, today we take a look at some of Isaiah 40, beginning with verses 1-2, ““Comfort, yes, comfort My people!” Says your Mighty One. 2“Speak comfort to Jerusalem, and cry out to her, that her warfare is ended, that her iniquity is pardoned; for she has received from Yahweh’s hand double for all her sins.”” Israel has already been judged for her rebellion, both the northern and the southern kingdoms were destroyed centuries ago. Isaiah says Jerusalem’s warfare is ended. Now, Yahweh will fight for Israel. Even the USA may fight Iran for Israel, according to Daniel 8, that is what it looks like in prophecy. I’m sure Israel will fight to defend herself, but she won’t be alone in the fight.

Verses 3-9 are telling Israel to get ready to meet their Mighty One, Yahweh Himself, manifested as Messiah Yeshua, soon to return as King of kings and Lord of lords.

In verses 10-14, Yahweh is letting us know that He is the only one with real wisdom and understanding. He is exalted far above His creation.

Look what Yahweh has to say about the nations of this world in verses 15-17, “Behold, the nations are as a drop in a bucket, and are counted as the small dust on the scales; look, He lifts up the isles as a very little thing. 16And Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, nor its beasts sufficient for a burnt offering. 17All nations before Him are as nothing, and they are counted by Him less than nothing and worthless.” Folks, the globalist nations of this world may think they are smart and may be rich, but compared to Yahweh, they are less than nothing. Yahweh is going to allow the One World Order to spread its wings and fly for one hour, but then He is going to severely judge the nations of this world. You just don’t mess with the sheep of Yahweh’s pasture and get away with it for very long. Yahweh will judge the world, He will pour out His wrath on the wicked, He will lock up Satan himself for a thousand years until the final White Throne judgment. You can mock Him is you so choose, but He will crush you in the end.

Verses 18-24, “To whom then will you liken God? Or what likeness will you compare to Him? 19The workman molds an image, the goldsmith overspreads it with gold, and the silversmith casts silver chains. 20Whoever is too impoverished for such a contribution chooses a tree that will not rot; he seeks for himself a skillful workman to prepare a carved image that will not totter. 21Have you not known? Have you not heard? Has it not been told you from the beginning? Have you not understood from the foundations of the earth? 22It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers, Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in. 23He brings the princes to nothing; he makes the judges of the earth useless. 24Scarcely shall they be planted, scarcely shall they be sown, scarcely shall their stock take root in the earth, when He will also blow on them, and they will wither, and the whirlwind will take them away like stubble.” I hope you realize that earth’s gold and silver is simply heaven’s asphalt. Man’s precious metals are but Yahweh’s road dirt. As John the Revelator explains about the New Jerusalem that comes down from Heaven in Rev. 21:21b, “And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.” We all need to repent and walk humbly with Yahweh. If princes and judges are nothing and useless, what are we? We are just His unprofitable servants. Luke 17:10, “So likewise you, when you have done all those things which you are commanded, say, ‘We are unprofitable servants. We have done what was our duty to do.’” No matter how obedient, how righteous, how religious, how passionate we are for Yahweh and the Kingdom, we are not Him, we are and always will be His servants, adopted as sons, but still His servants.

Verses 25-31, “To whom then will you liken Me, or to whom shall I be equal?” says the Holy One. 26Lift up your eyes on high, and see who has created these things, Who brings out their host by number; He calls them all by name, by the greatness of His might and the strength of His power; not one is missing. 27Why do you say, O Jacob, and speak, O Israel: “My way is hidden from Yahweh, and my just claim is passed over by my Mighty One”? 28Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting Mighty One, Yahweh, the Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. 29He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength. 30Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, 31But those who wait on Yahweh shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”

Yeah, go ahead, google His undertanding. Even if you knew all the world’s knowledge, which is doubling just about every year now, you would still not be able to fully comprehend Him. No search engine will ever be able to help you fully understand Him and His ways. You must humbly walk with Him and obey Him and then walk in the beautiful light He gives to you. Our technology is also nothing before Him, but you can find some pretty cool websites about Yahweh. Search and ye shall find.

John 7:37b-38, “Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. 38He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.””

Our Daily Drink – 7-18-10

Today’s drink is found in Isaiah 55, “Ho! Everyone who thirsts,

come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. 2Why do you spend money for what is not bread, and your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in abundance. 3Incline your ear, and come to Me. Hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you—the sure mercies of David. 4Indeed I have given him as a witness to the people, a leader and commander for the people.” For your information friends, there is a famine of the word in the world today. Yahweh is here encouraging us to come to Him and drink of His word directly. This is not the time to be deceived by some preacher or teacher looking for your wallet instead of your heart. And look what you get, the same covenant that David had, the blessing of Yahweh, His kindness poured into your life. Look at one of the blessings involved in verse 5, “Surely you shall call a nation you do not know, and nations who do not know you shall run to you, because of Yahweh your Mighty One, and the Holy One of Israel; for He has glorified you.” Whole people groups will be coming to you to hear the word from Yahweh. You need to drink deeply at the well of life, so you will have a word to share with the thirsty nations.

And here’s what happens when you share the word Yahweh gives you to speak to the thirstly souls coming to you, “6Seek Yahweh while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near. 7Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to Yahweh, and He will have mercy on him; and to our Mighty One, for He will abundantly pardon. 8“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says Yahweh. 9“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts. 10“For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater,”

And here’s the promise to the preacher, teacher, or evangelist of Yahweh, “11So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. 12“For you shall go out with joy, and be led out with peace; the mountains and the hills shall break forth into singing before you, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. 13Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree; and it shall be to Yahweh for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.” Yahweh’s benefit plan is unfathomable and His promises are true and everlasting, as solid as the sure mercies of David. The world cannot give you the joy, peace, or fruitfulness that the King of Kings can. He guarantees it.

John 7:37b-38, “Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. 38He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.””

Our Daily Drink – 7-17-10

Read the entire book of Obadiah (it’s only 21 verses of Obadiah’s vision against Edom, the descendants of Esau, Jacob’s brother), but let’s talk about verse 15-21, “For the day of Yahweh upon all the nations is near; as you (Edom, modern Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians) have done, it shall be done to you; Your reprisal shall return upon your own head. 16For as you drank on My holy mountain (referring to the Temple Mount area), so shall all the nations drink continually; yes, they shall drink, and swallow, and they shall be as though they had never been.” Yahweh has still not forgotten what Edom did to Israel when they came out of Egypt. Edom would not allow Israel to cross their land. Edom will be utterly destroyed forever for not showing favor to Israel in their day of need. But Yahweh is not going to stop with the destruction of just Edom, He states here that He will destroy all the nations of the world, as if they had never been. That’s sounds final to me. You see, it does make a difference from which fountain you drink and whether or not you are qualified to drink from the fountain you are drinking from. Are you qualified to drink from Yahweh’s fountain? Are you called, chosen, and clothed in Yahweh’s righteousness? That other fountain is poison water, but it does taste good to the carnal man. It takes spiritual discernment to drink from Yahweh’s living river of water. Do you have that discernment today? If you’re drinking from the wrong fountain, you’re drinking damnation to your soul. Remember Paul’s words when speaking of the Lord’s supper, communion, Passover? 1 Corinthians 11:26-32, “For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes. 27Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. 28But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup. 29For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body. 30For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep. 31For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged. 32But when we are judged, we are chastened by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.” You can see clearly that it is possible to drink condemnation unto yourself, if you are drinking from the wrong fountain. If you’re not drinking from the fountain of the waters of life, you are drinking judgment unto yourself. This is especially true in religion, if you are drinking in false teaching and not the truth of Yahweh’s word, your soul is in trouble in the coming Day of Yahweh. If you are worshiping a false god, or at a false altar, or on a false day, then your soul is in big trouble on the coming Day of the Wrath of Almighty Yahweh.

17“But on Mount Zion there shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions. 18The house of Jacob shall be a fire, and the house of Joseph a flame; but the house of Esau shall be stubble; they shall kindle them and devour them, and no survivor shall remain of the house of Esau,” for Yahweh has spoken. 19The South (the Negev) shall possess the mountains of Esau, and the Lowland (Gaza) shall possess Philistia. They shall possess the fields of Ephraim and the fields of Samaria. Benjamin shall possess Gilead (Go Benjamin !!). 20And the captives of this host of the children of Israel shall possess the land of the Canaanites as far as Zarephath. The captives of Jerusalem who are in Sepharad shall possess the cities of the South (the Negev). 21Then saviors (deliverers) shall come to Mount Zion to judge the mountains of Esau, and the kingdom shall be Yahweh’s.” Yahweh wins, His people win, His Kingdom endures forever. Amen. His Day is coming upon us soon and suddenly. I hope you are ready, I hope the Edomites are ready to meet their Maker.

Be blessed,

Gene Benjamin II

Isaiah 58:11, “Yahweh will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.”

Our Daily Drink 7-16-10

Our Scripture for today comes from Habakkuk 2, beginning with verses 1-3, “I will stand my watch And set myself on the rampart, And watch to see what He will say to me, And what I will answer when I am corrected. 2Then Yahweh answered me and said: “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. 3For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.” At first, you would believe that Habakkuk believes he is personally in trouble with Yahweh, waiting for a rebuke from the Master. But look what our marvelous King does, He just goes right ahead and gives Habakkuk a command to write the vision that he’s about to receive! I can relate to Habakkuk, I sometimes feel like I’m expecting Yahweh to rebuke me, but He just says write what I’m showing you, Gene! Yes Sir, right away Sir. I most often don’t like what I’m told to write about. It doesn’t seem to be the happy Gospel that I get to write about. Too much doom and gloom even for me, but Yahweh just wants humans to repent and turn to Him. I’m getting that message, I hope I’m relaying that message. The state of our eternal soul depends on our repentance. So what does Yahweh want Habakkuk and Gen to write? Oh boy, hold on to your soul again.

Here’s the vision that Yahweh had for Habakkuk and for us today, which neither Habakkuk nor we need to tarry long to receive, beginning in verse 4, “Behold the proud, His soul is not upright in him; But the just shall live by his faith.” Immediately, we see someone has a soul issue, a serious problem with Yahweh. Notice that it is not the just man walking by faith, it’s the proud man that has a soul problem. Notice that pride is the root of all this man’s troubles, though Yahweh delineates a few outward expressions of this proud heart, starting in verse 5, “Indeed, because he transgresses by wine, He is a proud man, And he does not stay at home. Because he enlarges his desire as hell, And he is like death, and cannot be satisfied, He gathers to himself all nations And heaps up for himself all peoples.” Notice what pride has led this man into, drinking, not staying at home when he should stay home, desires that cannot be satisfied in this world. This is a man of untold greed and lust, always wanting more, using his influence to draw whole nations and peoples to himself, for himself. Wow, now that sounds like some of those rich globalist folks we here about, skulking around in dark meeting rooms, pushing agendas that enlarge themselves, but impoverish the common man.

Yahweh is not done talking about this guy, look at verses 6-8, “Will not all these (common people) take up a proverb against him (the proud man), and a taunting riddle against him, and say, ‘Woe to him who increases what is not his—how long? And to him who loads himself with many pledges’? 7Will not your creditors rise up suddenly? Will they not awaken who oppress you? And you will become their booty. 8Because you have plundered many nations, All the remnant of the people shall plunder you, because of men’s blood and the violence of the land and the city, And of all who dwell in it.” It’s hard to imagine a proud man that has several trillions of dollars in his bank account owing anyone in this world anything. I guess it’s possible, just not very probable. So who could an ultra-wealthy globalist owe money or anything else to? Well, there is only two other choices, Satan or Yahweh. These guys have sold their souls to the Devil for sure, but Who ultimately holds their receivables in His hands? Is the Devil going to get to call in his credit slips against these guys? It doesn’t look like it. Yahweh allows the “remnant of the people” to plunder the rich globalists someday. And that of course begs the question, how long will these guys get to plunder the common man of faith? Doesn’t that sound like a familiar question? You’re right, Habakkuk and the Revelator are tracking on the same thought here. Listen to the opening of the fifth seal in Revelation 6:9-11, “When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of Yahweh and for the testimony which they held. 10And they cried with a loud voice, saying, “How long, O Master, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?” 11Then a white robe was given to each of them; and it was said to them that they should rest a little while longer, until both the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they were, was completed.” This is amazing stuff, folks, I never knew Habakkuk was speaking of the end times. We know Yahweh owes no man anything, but even the ultra-rich globalist owes Yahweh his very soul.

Habakkuk continues the rebuke in verses 9-12, “Woe to him who covets evil gain for his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the power of disaster! 10You give shameful counsel to your house, Cutting off many peoples, and sin against your soul. 11For the stone will cry out from the wall, and the beam from the timbers will answer it. 12“Woe to him who builds a town with bloodshed, who establishes a city by iniquity!” Notice that it is not wrong to have good profitable gain for your house, only evil gain. You have to step on people to make evil gain, and then you are sinning against your own soul to get the gain. You lose the eternal to gain the temporary. Not wise. Don’t many people believe they can buy their way out of a disaster? I believe the Scripture is pretty clear that money will not do you any good in the end-time disasters coming upon our world. Ezekiel weighed in on this idea also in 7:19, “They will throw their silver into the streets, and their gold will be like refuse; their silver and their gold will not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of Yahweh; they will not satisfy their souls, nor fill their stomachs, because it became their stumbling block of iniquity.” Money can buy you a lot of stuff, but it will not buy you forgiveness, salvation, redemption, or deliverance on that Great Day of Yahweh.

Read the rest of Habakkuk 2, Yahweh makes it very clear that this plundering of the people, stepping on them to make evil gain for your own household, is violence in the land and in the city. He does not like it and He will soon stop it. Apostle Paul, in quoting from Deuteronomy 32:35, makes it clear that Yahweh gets the last word, heed his warning in Romans 12:19, “Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says Yahweh.” Here’s how Moses said it in Deut. 32:35, “Vengeance is Mine, and recompense; Their foot shall slip in due time; for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things to come hasten upon them.” We don’t have to go to war against the globalists, Yahweh has them in his sites. We win in the end, whether or not we are martyred or not, makes no difference, we get the Kingdom of Yahweh, they don’t. Let Yahweh do his part, let’s do our part and make disciples and call people to repentance.

Zechariah 14:8, “And in that day it shall be that living waters shall flow from Jerusalem, half of them toward the eastern sea and half of them toward the western sea; in both summer and winter it shall occur.”

Our Daily Drink – 7-14-10

Remember yesterday, Yahweh said to trust Him, He is our hope. He continues that thought today with Psalm 118, “Oh, give thanks to Yahweh, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. 2Let Israel now say, “His mercy endures forever.” 3Let the house of Aaron now say, “His mercy endures forever.” 4Let those who fear Yahweh now say, “His mercy endures forever.” 5I called on Yahweh in distress; Yahweh answered me and set me in a broad place. 6Yahweh is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me? 7Yahweh is for me among those who help me; Therefore I shall see my desire on those who hate me. 8It is better to trust in Yahweh Than to put confidence in man. 9It is better to trust in Yahweh than to put confidence in princes.” Yahweh is trying to get us to wake up to the fact that He is in charge, not man, trust Him and Him alone. You will not make it through the great tribulation without Yahweh Almighty’s help. If you think man without Yahweh can solve the world’s troubles, like they do regularly in Hollywood movies, you are deluded, you are deceived, you do not know the truth. Man is the cause of our problems, not the solution. Yeshua is our Solution, not man.

10All nations surrounded me, But in the name of Yahweh I will destroy them. 11They surrounded me, Yes, they surrounded me; But in the name of Yahweh I will destroy them. 12They surrounded me like bees; They were quenched like a fire of thorns; For in the name of Yahweh I will destroy them. 13You pushed me violently, that I might fall, But Yahweh helped me. 14Yahweh is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation. 15The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tents of the righteous; The right hand of Yahweh does valiantly. 16The right hand of Yahweh is exalted; The right hand of Yahweh does valiantly. 17I shall not die, but live, And declare the works of Yahweh.”

18Yahweh has chastened me severely, But He has not given me over to death. 19Open to me the gates of righteousness; I will go through them, And I will praise Yahweh. 20This is the gate of Yahweh, Through which the righteous shall enter. 21I will praise You, For You have answered me, And have become my salvation. 22The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone. 23This was Yahweh’S doing; It is marvelous in our eyes. 24This is the day Yahweh has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it. 25Save now, I pray, O YAHWEH; O YAHWEH, I pray, send now prosperity.” Yahweh will spank us when we need it, to straighten us out, but He will not forsake us. Just turn to Him, ask forgiveness, and praise Him again! “26Blessed is he who comes in the name of Yahweh! We have blessed you from the house of Yahweh. 27Mighty One is Yahweh, And He has given us light; Bind the sacrifice with cords to the horns of the altar. 28You are my Mighty One, and I will praise You; You are my Mighty One, I will exalt You. 29Oh, give thanks to Yahweh, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.” We want His prosperity, not the world’s. Yahweh, send NOW your prosperity. Bless you and your Holy Name, Yahweh, forever and forever.

Bless you also dear reader,

Gene Benjamin II

John 7:37b-38, “Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. 38He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.””

Our Daily Drink – 7-13-10

Today’s Scripture is found in Jeremiah 17, beginning in verses 5-8, “Thus says Yahweh: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man And makes flesh his strength, Whose heart departs from Yahweh. 6For he shall be like a shrub in the desert, And shall not see when good comes, But shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, In a salt land which is not inhabited. 7“Blessed is the man who trusts in Yahweh, And whose hope is Yahweh. 8For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.” If you’ve been watching the news at all, you know we are preparing for war. When we take out Iran, that should trigger the final seven years of tribulation for the saints. We are not to look forward to the day of doom, but we do look forward to Messiah’s return. Yahweh is our hope today and forever. We can and must only trust in Him. Man’s failed governments and systems are about to fail for the last time, so if you are trusting in man, in humanism, to save you out of the destruction that is coming, you are cursed. But we are not the cursed, we are the blessed of Yahweh, because we trust only in Him. He is our strong arm of salvation, He is our strong arm of deliverance. No one else can redeem you in this final hour during the great battle between Satan and Yahweh. As they duke it out in their last battles here on earth, we are going to be witness to events on earth and in the heavens that have never been seen before. Keep your spiritual eyes open, as well as watch and pray as prophecy unfolds before us. Yahweh is about to bring all of mankind, His family as well as the heathen, to their knees before Him. You will acknowledge Him as King of Kings and Master of all Masters, either in faith and trust, or out of the faith, but you will acknowledge Him. He has chosen us to choose Him, and the choice will be made more and more clear as earth and its beast systems rise and then crumble before our eyes.

Yeshua said in His end-time prophecy of Matthew 24:4b, “Take heed that no one deceives you.” Well, look who deceives us first and foremost in Jeremiah 17:9-10, “The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it? 10I, Yahweh, search the heart, I test the mind, Even to give every man according to his ways, According to the fruit of his doings.” Our own heart deceives us and would lead us to destruction, unless we turn our heart over to our Creator. It’s only through His Holy Spirit that you will be able to discern good from evil, right from wrong, in this end-time scenario playing out on the stage of human life today. Don’t ever think that you can’t be deceived. Adam and Eve were perfect and Yahweh allowed them to be deceived by the slippery silver-tongued serpent. We’ve fallen a long ways from that first family tree, so it’s time to walk very very humbly with our God.

It’s time now to repent and turn wholeheartedly to Yahweh through His Son, Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach. He is our blessing, we are His blessing. He is our Living Water, we are His living cup to be poured out for all mankind to drink from. Verses 12-13, “A glorious high throne from the beginning Is the place of our sanctuary. 13O Yahweh, the hope of Israel, All who forsake You shall be ashamed. “Those who depart from Me Shall be written in the earth, Because they have forsaken Yahweh, The fountain of living waters.”” As He pours us out, He fills us back up. It’s our living fountain of life and truth that will flow eternally from His throne. It’s time to dive in, the water is deep, the river is wide, but it’s so refreshing to your soul! Share this living water with your family, friends, and neighbors today.

Yahweh is trying to warn America and all of humanity, before His dark and terrible Day. It’s His Day of doom and gloom, not mine. I’m trying not to look forward to the messy destruction that’s coming, I’m trying to look beyond that, to the Day of Yeshua’s return, our redemption that draws nigh. But we are going to go through what’s coming. Verses 17-18, “Do not be a terror to me; You are my hope in the day of doom. 18Let them be ashamed who persecute me, But do not let me be put to shame; Let them be dismayed, But do not let me be dismayed. Bring on them the day of doom, And destroy them with double destruction!” May our persecutors feel the persecution of Yahweh. Do you recall where we’ve heard about this double destruction before? That’s right, the destruction of Mystery Babylon, Revelation 18:4-8, “And I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues. 5For her sins have reached to heaven, and Yahweh has remembered her iniquities. 6Render to her just as she rendered to you, and repay her double according to her works; in the cup which she has mixed, mix double for her. 7In the measure that she glorified herself and lived luxuriously, in the same measure give her torment and sorrow; for she says in her heart, ‘I sit as queen, and am no widow, and will not see sorrow.’ 8Therefore her plagues will come in one day—death and mourning and famine. And she will be utterly burned with fire, for strong is Sovereign Yahweh who judges her.” This Mystery Babylon is the religious government known in the world today as the Roman Catholic Church. This beastly religious entity has persecuted the saints for about 1,700 years, and is about to severely persecute us again. Watch for Sunday laws to be implemented in the United States again, as they were in our early history. If you don’t believe the Catholic Church has the power in this country to pass legislation like this, research the National Health Care Bill; the Bishops of Rome pushed that legislation through, and at the same time made sure that abortion would not be funded with our tax money. What they did was illegal and unconstitutional, but they did it, and they will do it again, soon. If they are going to lobby the U.S. Congress, at least revoke their tax-exempt status as a Church in America!!

It’s not my idea to keep bringing up this Sabbath thing, but Yahweh keeps connecting Sabbath-keeping with the end-times. Jer. 17:19-27, “Thus Yahweh said to me: “Go and stand in the gate of the children of the people, by which the kings of Judah come in and by which they go out, and in all the gates of Jerusalem; 20and say to them, ‘Hear the word of Yahweh, you kings of Judah, and all Judah, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, who enter by these gates. 21Thus says Yahweh: “Take heed to yourselves, and bear no burden on the Sabbath day, nor bring it in by the gates of Jerusalem; 22nor carry a burden out of your houses on the Sabbath day, nor do any work, but hallow the Sabbath day, as I commanded your fathers. 23But they did not obey nor incline their ear, but made their neck stiff, that they might not hear nor receive instruction. 24“And it shall be, if you heed Me carefully,” says Yahweh, “to bring no burden through the gates of this city on the Sabbath day, but hallow the Sabbath day, to do no work in it, 25then shall enter the gates of this city kings and princes sitting on the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, they and their princes, accompanied by the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and this city shall remain forever. 26And they shall come from the cities of Judah and from the places around Jerusalem, from the land of Benjamin and from the lowland, from the mountains and from the South, bringing burnt offerings and sacrifices, grain offerings and incense, bringing sacrifices of praise to the house of Yahweh. 27“But if you will not heed Me to hallow the Sabbath day, such as not carrying a burden when entering the gates of Jerusalem on the Sabbath day, then I will kindle a fire in its gates, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem, and it shall not be quenched.”’” Please don’t get hung up on what you perceive as the legalities of observing the Sabbath. Just notice that it is important to Yahweh, it’s His command, it’s His day that He has given to us as a gift. It’s a special day to spend time with the lover of our soul. It is a sign of the covenant between Yahweh and His people. Just a couple days ago, He gave us Ezekiel 20:20, “hallow My Sabbaths, and they will be a sign between Me and you, that you may know that I am Yahweh your Mighty One.” I’m not hammering on you about the Sabbath, Yahweh is hammering on all of us. It’s time to choose who we are going to worship; that is the final exam of the great tribulation. The proud mark of the beastly Roman Catholic Church is Sunday worship. The sign Yahweh wants to place on your heart is the Sabbath Day, keep it holy, set apart unto Him. Pray for your Catholic family and friends, that they would know Yeshua, the only true Messiah, and that they would “come out of her, my people.”

Bless each of you in Yeshua,

Gene Benjamin II

Isaiah 58:11, “Yahweh will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.”

Our Daily Drink – 7-11-10

Today’s word comes from Ezekiel 7, received by Ezekiel in 3533, 514 BCE, in his mysterious thirtieth year, the fifth year of his captivity in Babylon, “Moreover the word of Yahweh came to me, saying, 2“And you, son of man, thus says Soveriegn Yahweh to the land of Israel: ‘An end! The end has come upon the four corners of the land. 3Now the end has come upon you, And I will send My anger against you; I will judge you according to your ways, And I will repay you for all your abominations. 4My eye will not spare you, Nor will I have pity; But I will repay your ways, And your abominations will be in your midst; Then you shall know that I am Yahweh!’ 5“Thus says Sovereign Yahweh: ‘A disaster, a singular disaster (think Gulf oil disaster, or a devastating attack on Iran); Behold, it has come! 6An end has come, The end has come; It has dawned for you; Behold, it has come! 7Doom (there goes Holy Spirit using that nasty four letter word again) has come to you, you who dwell in the land; The time has come, A day of trouble is near, And not of rejoicing in the mountains. 8Now upon you I will soon pour out My fury, And spend My anger upon you; I will judge you according to your ways, And I will repay you for all your abominations. 9‘My eye will not spare, Nor will I have pity; I will repay you according to your ways, And your abominations will be in your midst. Then you shall know that I am Yahweh who strikes. 10‘Behold, the day! Behold, it has come! Doom (ouch, He said it again) has gone out; The rod has blossomed, Pride has budded. 11Violence has risen up into a rod of wickedness; None of them shall remain, None of their multitude, None of them; Nor shall there be wailing for them. 12The time has come, The day draws near. ‘Let not the buyer rejoice, Nor the seller mourn, For wrath is on their whole multitude. 13For the seller shall not return to what has been sold, Though he may still be alive; For the vision concerns the whole multitude, And it shall not turn back; No one will strengthen himself Who lives in iniquity. 14‘They have blown the trumpet and made everyone ready, But no one goes to battle; For My wrath is on all their multitude. 15The sword is outside, And the pestilence and famine within. Whoever is in the field Will die by the sword; And whoever is in the city, Famine and pestilence will devour him.”

Yeshua said in Matthew 24:18, “And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes.” Danger will be in the city and in the country. Safety will only be found in Yahweh Himself. Only He will be able to deliver from the violence coming upon the face of the whole earth.

16‘Those who survive will escape and be on the mountains like doves of the valleys, All of them mourning, Each for his iniquity.” Look at verse 7 above, it parallels verse 16 here; we’re not going to be partying here in the mountains, but mourning, praying for mercy on those who have not been able to escape the cities. It’s a day of trouble for Jacob, not a day for rejoicing. Yeshua again in Matthew 24:16, “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.” We may be seeing dual fulfillments in the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 CE and the end-time judgment of Yahweh on Mystery Babylon.

17Every hand will be feeble, And every knee will be as weak as water.

18They will also be girded with sackcloth; Horror will cover them; Shame will be on every face, Baldness on all their heads. 19‘They will throw their silver into the streets, And their gold will be like refuse;

Their silver and their gold will not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of Yahweh;” Those stockpiling gold and silver and financial wealth in these last days need to meditate on these Scriptures. Money will not save in the Day of Judgment. The Holy Spirit will be our only protection and provision in this time of the end. It’s time to invest all our wealth in the preaching and teaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Anything less is self-worship, which is not looked on with eyes of approval in the heavens.

“They will not satisfy their souls, Nor fill their stomachs, Because it became their stumbling block of iniquity. 20‘As for the beauty of his ornaments, He set it in majesty; But they made from it the images of their abominations— Their detestable things; Therefore I have made it like refuse to them. 21I will give it as plunder into the hands of strangers, And to the wicked of the earth as spoil; And they shall defile it. 22I will turn My face from them, And they will defile My secret place; For robbers shall enter it and defile it.” Many men’s spirits will be defiled as we bring man’s history to a close. Self-worship, self-centeredness is destroying men, and they don’t even know it. Demonization of mankind is a major problem of our day. Many of those evil spirits enter a person’s life and subtly twist a man from the truth. Idolatry was a major factor in the constant downfalls of ancient Israel; we are no different today. It’s not just American Idol on television, it’s American Idolatry, we worship anyone and anything, except our Creator, Yahweh Almighty. He takes that personally, you know. That’s why He must judge the earth and everything in it.

23‘Make a chain, For the land is filled with crimes of blood, And the city is full of violence. 24Therefore I will bring the worst of the Gentiles, And they will possess their houses; I will cause the pomp of the strong to cease, And their holy places shall be defiled. 25Destruction comes; They will seek peace, but there shall be none. 26Disaster will come upon disaster, And rumor will be upon rumor. Then they will seek a vision from a prophet; But the law will perish from the priest, And counsel from the elders. 27‘The king will mourn, The prince will be clothed with desolation, And the hands of the common people will tremble. I will do to them according to their way, And according to what they deserve I will judge them; Then they shall know that I am Yahweh!’”” Folks, I don’t think you could find a better description of our world in any newspaper today, than what Ezekiel wrote 2523 years ago. Jeremiah agrees with Ezekiel, in 6:14-15, “They have also healed the hurt of My people slightly, Saying, ‘Peace, peace!’ When there is no peace. 15Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? No! They were not at all ashamed; Nor did they know how to blush. Therefore they shall fall among those who fall; At the time I punish them, They shall be cast down,” says Yahweh.” We deserve any punishment we get from our Heavenly Father. Diplomats of the world’s governments are traveling the globe, trying to bring peace to this violence-crazed world, but we know that we will not see peace, nor know peace, until Yeshua establishes His Kingdom on planet earth. Until that day, seek Yeshua with all your heart and soul and mind and strength. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Pray for Yeshua to bring His peace speedily.

John 4:13a, 14, “Jesus answered and said to her, “ . . . whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.””

Our Daily Drink – 7-09-10

Today’s drink comes from the book of Haggai. The setting is the year 3606 = 441 BCE, in the second year of Darius Hystaspes (Artaxerxes, Ahasuerus), King of Persia. The children of Israel had been back in the land of Judah for 17 years, since their 70 year captivity in Babylon. The rebuilding of the Temple had been delayed 15 years, because of the opposition of the locals. Yahweh wanted them to get back to work on His Temple, so he sent Haggai the prophet to the Jews. Look at 1:3-11, “Then the word of Yahweh came by Haggai the prophet, saying, 4Is it time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses, and this temple to lie in ruins?” 5Now therefore, thus says Yahweh of hosts: “Consider your ways! 6“You have sown much, and bring in little; You eat, but do not have enough; You drink, but you are not filled with drink; You clothe yourselves, but no one is warm; And he who earns wages, Earns wages to put into a bag with holes.” 7Thus says Yahweh of hosts: “Consider your ways! 8Go up to the mountains and bring wood and build the temple, that I may take pleasure in it and be glorified,” says Yahweh. 9You looked for much, but indeed it came to little; and when you brought it home, I blew it away. Why?” says Yahweh of hosts. “Because of My house that is in ruins, while every one of you runs to his own house. 10Therefore the heavens above you withhold the dew, and the earth withholds its fruit. 11For I called for a drought on the land and the mountains, on the grain and the new wine and the oil, on whatever the ground brings forth, on men and livestock, and on all the labor of your hands.”” Yahweh was a little upset with His people, because they had neglected His Temple, which today we understand to be His Church, housed inside of you. We humans tend to get overly involved in the physical world around us, self-centered as we are, and neglect building up of the Body of Messiah, the Church of Jesus Christ. Zerubbabel and the boys in Judah took the word of Haggai to heart and got back to work on the Temple in Jerusalem. Won’t you do the same? The Church of Yahweh is so neglected in this world. We need to concentrate all our efforts and wealth on the Kingdom of Messiah and Yahweh.

What did Yeshua say in Matthew 6:24-34, “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve Yahweh and mammon. (mammon is wealth personified, rich folk, wealthy business people) 25“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? 28“So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30Now if Yahweh so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31“Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33But seek first the kingdom of Yahweh and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” Yeshua wants to know, are we going to serve the world, the flesh, or Him? I would suggest you fall madly in love with Yeshua. It’s the final hour to make up your mind. If Baal is god, serve him, if Yahweh is God, serve Him and His Kingdom. Which means you will serve Yahweh’s people. You will help build the Temple of His body, the Church. Any delay may mean you miss His will for you in this final hour of human history.

Luke 18:18-25, “Now a certain ruler asked Him, saying, “Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” 19So Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, Yahweh. 20You know the commandments: ‘Do not commit adultery,’ ‘Do not murder,’ ‘Do not steal,’ ‘Do not bear false witness,’ ‘Honor your father and your mother.’21And he said, “All these things I have kept from my youth.” 22So when Jesus heard these things, He said to him, “You still lack one thing. Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.” 23But when he heard this, he became very sorrowful, for he was very rich. 24And when Jesus saw that he became very sorrowful, He said, “How hard it is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of Yahweh! 25For it is easier for a camel (rope in Hebrew) to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of Yahweh.”” Do you see the problem of the rich young ruler? He had his priorities messed up. He was hung up on mammon. He would not serve Yahweh’s Kingdom, because he was serving his wealth. He was mammon, or wealth personified. You cannot serve both Yahweh and mammon. Being religiously holy or righteous doesn’t cut it. Notice what Yeshua said, you can keep ALL the Torah, all the written Law of Yahweh and still lack one thing, a humble attitude. You can DO the right actions but with the wrong attitude, and miss out on the entire Kingdom of Yahweh. Don’t let that happen to you. Yeshua wants, needs, and demands sold out disciples today. Please be one of them.

Yahweh gave me a personal word today. Psalm 16. Here’s just a portion of it, verses 5-9, “O Yahweh, You are the portion of my inheritance and my cup; You maintain my lot. 6The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places; Yes, I have a good inheritance. 7I will bless Yahweh who has given me counsel; My heart also instructs me in the night seasons. 8I have set Yahweh always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved. 9Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; My flesh also will rest in hope.” Wow, He is so good to me. I love Him with all my being, that’s why my glory rejoices. My inheritance is in Him, not in this world. Sell out to Yeshua today, I did years ago, and my life has not been the same since. Come, follow me.

May Yahweh bless and keep each of you through the dark days ahead, because He is the light at the end of the tunnel. Seek Him with all your heart.

John 4:13a, 14, “Jesus answered and said to her, “ . . . whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.””
